Using the Python API

This topic introduces to Python scripting in Clarisse. We strongly recommend you to read Introduction to Clarisse Object Model first before continuing reading this document.

While, most of Clarisse C++ API classes are exposed to Python, the SDK provides specific Python extensions to simplify scripting. Thus, you can write your scripts in Clarisse in 3 ways:

Even if it seems there are different APIs, every commands or methods ends up calling the C++ API in the background. This ultimately means that, when writing scripts, nothing prevents you from using all these 3 APIs in a single and same script.
